eIRB

The Institutional Review Board is the committee that monitors and approves research projects involving human subjects.  The eIRB is the online platform for managing the protocol submission process.  All protocol documents are uploaded to the website by the research team.  The eIRB system is used to maintain version control and provide communication between the research team, the Human Protections Office, and the Institutional Review Board.  Use of eIRB is required for all WAMC research projects.

In addition to providing the highest quality health care, Womack's mission is to maximize the medical deployability of the force.  The Department of Research enhances this capability by supporting the research efforts of 17 professional and graduate medical education training programs at Womack as well as the ongoing research efforts on Fort Liberty.

Due to our location and mission, Womack investigators have the ability to integrate clinical and military specific research unlike any other institution in the country.

Research Support

Our services include protocol development, statistical support, institutional review board and scientific review, publication clearance, and grant management.

Mission

Provide tools, training and expertise required to develop clinicians and scholars who engage in intellectually rigorous, safe and ethical conduct of research which advances the science of military medicine.
